Updates...

Well; it's been so long and so much has happened that I almost can't keep up with everything anymore! There are way too many pictures that have been taken since the last post and way too many events that have come and gone for me to list it all. Plus, since all of you already know by now that the little angel is an outside baby now, who cares about all the other stuff anymore anyways?!

I had my last day at work in Stockton on December 10th, immediately following that we had our big move and were all moved in to our new home in Livermore before Christmas. The Holidays came and went, my belly got progressively bigger as the days went by and I was still convinced that whole time that our little girl was going to be born on January 10th (although doctor's have been telling me the due date is January 8th). So when our friends Zoe, Kyveli and Kailen came over to spend the night for New Year's, little did I know that on that evening we would be taking the last pictures of me being pregnant...

Toasting at midnight, making brownies...mmmmh!

And unbeknown to any of us, this is the very last belly picture ever taken of me:

...because around 4pm on January 1st I went into labor. It was a extremely exhausting, crazy, unexpected 41 hour journey (!!!) until our little Soraya Mina entered this world, the morning of January 3rd at 7:59am!!! The whole weekend was a cloudy, dark, rainy setting and then the first Sunday of 2010 (January 3rd) right after our little girl was born, for the first time in three days, did we see the sun! And shine she did! It was like a big angel choir chorus from heaven welcoming this little baby or ours!
She weighed 7lb 5oz and was all of 20 1/2 inches long.

Oh, and before I forget: No, we did not end up Boggling her name! Her middle name, Mina, we had settled on a while back. It's in honor of my Grandmother who I was very close to and who unfortunately is no longer with us. She is part of some of my fondest memories and I can only hope that she is looking down on us, enjoying her little Great-Granddaughter from above.
The name Soraya, came to be out of nowhere a while back as well. I don't know anyone with that name and never have. In fact I have never even heard it before, so I have no idea why it came to me out of no where. I came to find out that it means Princess ( also as in Princess Soraya of Persia). My parents have been calling her Princess since they found out I was pregnant. After a long time of letting it sink in and getting used to the name, Inyo liked it and we were able to settle on it. We're very happy about our choice and hope she will be too.

Welcome Soraya Mina!
